Leibster Awards... 4 NOMINATIONS!

It is an absolute honour to have been voted for 4 times, in the space of a few days, for the Leibster Award. (N.B. Leibster means Dearest, Loving or Sweetheard in German.. Cute).

I have been blogging for just over a week and whilst I have only had the opportunity to write a handful of blogs, I have absolutely loved reading and speaking with everyone that I have been in touch with over this time. I would like to personally thank you all, for reading, following and sharing my blogs. (please please continue to do so, I am grateful to all of you!).

I am sure that you are all aware of how important it is to share and communicate with other bloggers. I have found that the relationships between bloggers is so amazing and supportive. It is astounding how much I can relate to you all and it is refreshing to find other girls (and boys) out there who are loving beauty and skincare, as much as I do.

I would firstly like to thank the lovely ladies who have nominated me for the Leibster Award;

2. Lauryn of Funfairs and Fairydust

3. Kammi of Beauty Book Blog

Thank you so much for reading, sharing and indulging me. I have loved preparing and sharing my blogs so far and I am so glad that you girls have liked my blog enough to share this. I did wonder whether anyone would ever read this. Apparently, a handful of people so far, are more than happy to.

Before I was nominated by  Sacha, I had not heard of the Leibster Award. I have since read numerous posts about this and I have seen many people voted for this. In my reading, I have also found out what this is awarded for.

For those of you who are also new to blogging and not aware of this, basically, in a nutshell, the Award is given to new bloggers, with less than 200 followers. This enables bloggers to share their blogs and get to know other bloggers. As you are all no doubt aware, spreading the word about other bloggers helps more than just the writer, as most of the time, the content of their blog is going to be considered and passed on by others and will  help them make informed decisions about products. (getting all deep here now.. haha! very unlike me!)

THE RULES

1. You have to link back the person, or in my case persons, who nominated you.

2. You have to answer the 11 questions set by the person(s) that nominated you. (This blog may therefore, be a long read.. that is 44 questions in total, given my 4 nominations).

3. You have to nominate 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers to pass the award on to (not the person(s) that nominated you!), and notify them. (All of my nominees are great and I have really enjoyed reading their blogs).

4. You have to come up with 11 questions for the bloggers you nominate.

5. If you want, you can include 11 random facts about yourself.

So, firstly..

11 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME..

1. I am a twin. I have a twin brother - for the record, we are not identical.. For starters, he's a boy and I am a girl.. So many people ask this question..

2. I studied law at university. I am training to be a Solicitor.  It will have taken me a total of 8 years to train and finally qualify by the time I actually can say 'I'm a Solicitor' - I have approximately 1 year left.. YAY!

3. My name Louisa, is my middle name/nickname, not my actual name. For work purposes, I can't use my real name with my blog. If I were to change my name, I think I would choose Louisa. It's girly and reminds me of pink, sparkly, girly, flowery things. It basically does sum me up. (in my opinion..)

4. I have teeny tiny feet. Size 2's in fact. (EU 35). This means that it is incredibly hard for me to buy shoes. Therefore, when I do find shoes that fit me, I like to buy them in every colour imaginable.

5. I met my fiancé when we were 12 years old. We started seeing each other as we left high school. We have now been together for 9 1/2 years - we have been engaged for 9 months and are working on setting a date for our wedding. I cannot wait!

6. If I wasn't training to be a Solicitor, I would love to be a wedding planner. I absolutely adore everything to do with weddings.

7. My all time favourite fragrance is Jimmy Choo.

8. I met my best friend, Suzy  at Uni. She encourages my addiction to make up, both advertently and inadvertently. She also kick started my need to look after my skin. She is always full of useful information. (Make sure you follow her blog - she is new to blogging and may appear further below, because she is fab at blogging and sharing her opinions, not because she is my best friend!)

9. I love to crunch ice cubes and I love tea. The latter appears to be something most bloggers love.

10. My favourite number is 22.

11. I was (and when I have time, continue to be) a dancer - ballet, tap, modern etc.. Since I was 3 years old, I have taken part in many competitions and I have also danced in the West End. I am now training to teach dance, adding yet another string to my bow, so to speak. I help organise our Annual dance festival each year and I absolutely love it.

So that's done with. I feel like I'm back at school, doing the emailed versions of these questions. Me and all my friends used to complete and share them. I bet I still have a few floating around in my old emails somewhere..

I am not going to answer all 11 for each of lovely ladies who nominated me, I will be here all month and this blog is terribly log already. Some may have already given up reading.. I will answer 4 from each of them below. (Hope that's not cheating..)

Questions from Sacha

1. Who is your idol?
Easy. My Nan. She is amazing.
2. If you had to choose between fashion and beauty, which one would you pick?
 Beauty - Every time.
3. What is your favourite dessert?
Sticky Toffee Pudding and Custard. Or Eton Mess. Yummy.
4. What is your favourite TV show?
At the moment, we are re-watching the Big Bang Theory and I love it. Knock Knock Penny.. :)

Questions from Lauryn

1. Do you prefer to read or watch films?
Watch films. I love reading though. If there are books that are made into films, like the Harry Potter and Twilight series for example, I prefer the books every time.
2. If a new blogger happened to contact you asking for some advice on starting up, what would you say to them?
Go for it and write about what you love. It makes it easier to have the energy and motivation to write down your ideas and share your thoughts.
3. Straight or curly hair?
Depends on my mood. Today, I have straight hair, yesterday it was curly. Curly is more girly!
4. What is your dream holiday destination, and would it be action filled or a relaxing break away?
Relaxing break away. Give me a beach, sun cream, a good book and a swimming pool and I am one happy lady.

Questions from Kammi

1.What colour are your eyes?
Green.
2. What inspired you to start blogging?
I wanted something to distract me from my normal job occasionally. It's pretty full on and it's nice to step back and think about the products that I love and have tried and write about them. I want to share my love of certain products with others and see what they like. Suzy and I had been talking about blogging for so long and kept putting it off. I finally decided to take the plunge once I had a blog name in mind.
3. Favourite ever song?
Mr Brightside. This is my all time favourite ever song. It reminds me of carefree uni days and amazing nights out with my best friends.
4. Favourite Superhero?
Iron man. RDJ is perfect for the role.

Questions from Romina

1. If you would lose every beauty product you own but could keep 1, what would it be?
Probably Blusher. I need a nice rosy cheek, my skin looks sad without it. I love my new Elf Blush (in twinkle pink). I also love L'Oreal (in sandalwood Rose) and Bourjois Blush (in Rose D'or) too. This would be closely followed by mascara..
2. If you were a makeup artist, which celebrity's makeup would you want to do?
Hayden Panetierre's. Love her eye make up in Nashville. I probably am most similar to her in terms of hair colour and skin tone, although her complexion is a little clearer than mine). I would hopefully be able to share tips with her then too.
3. What is your favorite store to shop beauty products at?
Boots. Very closely followed by Debenhams and Selfridges. I love the mix of high street and high end products and I love swatching the different products. I come out looking like a child's painting.
4. What is your favourite lipstick/lipgloss/lipstain color?
I'm loving my most recent purchase, Bourjois Shine Edition in no 24, Rose xoxo. The colour doesn't seem to be listed the same on here though (mine most closely resembles the one labelled POU P). It feels beautiful and nourishing. I love it - it's a perfect summery lipstick.

So, this has literally taken me forever. You should now know a little more about me!

I now have to nominate 11 new bloggers, (names each linked to their blogs and twitter accounts below) with less than 200 followers, so here goes.

Suzy - (@Cynical Suzy)
Amani - (@introducingAKx)
Kayleigh -  (@kayspray)
Ellie - (@etheralellie)
Celia - (@celiasantics)
Marley - (@itsmarley)
Rachel - (@racheleeno )
Natalie -  (@Natalie_stubbs)

All of the above ladies are fantastic bloggers and I love checking in on their blogs. I have actually found a couple of the blogs whilst preparing this and I love their blog topics, photographs and overall feels of the blog.

I am glad that I have endured this blog, even if only for that find. I have followed all of them on bloglovin and I look forward to reading their posts, responding to this, should they decide to.

Therefore, the final thing is the questions for each of them to respond to.

1. How did you come up with your blog name?
2. Who inspires you most?
3. What are you most proud of so far in your life?
4. What is your No. 1 beauty product and why?
5. What product would you recommend most highly?
6. What 3 famous people, dead or alive, would you invite to a dinner party and why?
7.What film/tv character are you most like?
8. How do you wind down?
9. What is your signature scent?
10. What top tip would you give to any new bloggers?
11. If you had a theme song to your life, what would it be?

So that is finally it.

If you have managed to make it to the end, thanks for persevering.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to reading comments, or seeing the responses from the lovely ladies above.
