Cleanliness - Cleaning Make Up Brushes

So I have now filled you all in on the wonders that are my make up brushes (I absolutely love them).

Given my constant use of these brushes, I need to ensure that they are clean and fresh for use on my skin. Any beauty blogger will understand the importance of a clean make up brush! It's just vital! Why apply beautiful products to your skin, if the brushes that you use are dirty and likely to affect your skin... Wasted time!

Challenges - #BlogYourSocksOffSeptember

So, I saw this hashtag and I was immediately intrigued. So, I stopped by at Jess's blog and I found out all about this lovely little challenge. What a fantastic idea. I was immediately determined to get involved and blog daily for a whole month with Jess and numerous other beauty bloggers alike.

As you are no doubt aware, I am a relatively new blogger and I am so intrigued by this and it is such an excuse to raid my make up bag and review my most loved products.

Wonder - Linen Spray with added Love, Happiness and Fantasy

Ok, so this is a little off course from my usual blogs, but this particular product makes me so VERY happy and I just cannot help but share the LOVE!

I absolutely adore everything Disney. I can't help it - I think that I am somehow genetically coded to just love anything that Disney make. I was therefore, so very very happy when I went into the Disney store a few weeks ago and spotted this, absolutely perfect 'Louisa' product.

Lips - Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick

I've never really paid much attention to lipsticks - mainly because I can't find any that will really suit my skin tone. I've always been a lip gloss girl.  I think I have been too fussy to be honest (those that know me, know I'm super fussy about EVERYTHING). I have developed a new love of lip products and I am testing the water with a fair few new additions.
My biggest love out of these has been my Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick in shade 24 - Rose. It's perfect. (I've just had to apply it because I'm talking about it! Haha!)

Lush - Lip Scrub Heaven

So, I was chatting with one of my friends a fair few months ago about anything and everything and basically, putting the world to rights (as us girls do) and during our conversation, as always, it turned to beauty, make up and new purchases. She started telling me about her latest 'new love', a lib scrub from Lush.

Immediately, I knew that I wanted to try this. She explained that it was an exfoliating lib scrub, that basically cleaned your lips.  When I went shopping later that month, I popped into Lush and went on a smelling spree.

Exfoliating - St Ives Facial Scrubs - Super Soft Skin

Exfoliating the skin is so important and something that, when I revised my skincare routine, I wanted to make sure that I did on a regular basis.  I had only tried a couple of exfoliants before and not on a regular basis, so I wasn't really that sure of what I was looking for. I didn't want anything too stripping or drying for my skin.

With this in mind, I went to Boots and I trawled the aisles looking for something that I had heard of that would be good to start with. I had heard of St Ives before, so I thought that I would give it a try. They had a huge range of products and I must have been stood there for quite a while just picking one up, smelling it and putting it down. I like to make sure that the product that I chose was appealing in every aspect and would do the job.

Perfect Skin - L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection

L'Oreal Paris Skin
Perfection Advanced
Correcting Serum
So today, I received a lovely surprise. I had to pop to the Post Office to collect the parcel, as it was delivered whilst I was at work earlier in the week. I was extremely curious, as I had already received everything that I had ordered, so I was thrilled when I opened it up. Inside, there were the two products pictured.

I know that the products have been out for some time now and there are 6 products in the Skin Perfection range. The Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum is currently reduced to £13.33 from £19.99 at Boots and the Skin Perfection Correcting Day Moisturiser is currently £9.99, reduced from £14.99.

L'Oreal Paris Skin
Perfection Correcting
Day Moisturiser

L'Oreal claim that using the Skin Perfection range will 'Refine skin texture, Tighten Pores and Even and brighten skin tone. They also state that I will be able to see visible results within 1 minute (with softer silkier skin). After 1 weeks use, I should be able to see that my pores appear visibly reduced. And finally, the best, is that in 1 month, my skin should be transformed, with more healthy and glowing skin. I certainly hope that this is true.

Leibster Awards... 4 NOMINATIONS!

It is an absolute honour to have been voted for 4 times, in the space of a few days, for the Leibster Award. (N.B. Leibster means Dearest, Loving or Sweetheard in German.. Cute).

I have been blogging for just over a week and whilst I have only had the opportunity to write a handful of blogs, I have absolutely loved reading and speaking with everyone that I have been in touch with over this time. I would like to personally thank you all, for reading, following and sharing my blogs. (please please continue to do so, I am grateful to all of you!).

Mascara - 'Max Factor Wild Mega Volume Volumising Mascara'

Max Factor mascaras make up some of my favourite high street purchases, so finding out that there was a new mascara on offer, it was inevitable that I would buy this. When I like a brand, I tend to trust the product and I am happy to invest in new products.

The 'Wild' range was released in the UK in July 2013, with reports of stores selling out of the products across the country, because of the demand. (No doubt it was due to us bloggers queuing to test drive the latest products.  I picked this up from Boots (of course) for £4.99, its introductory offer price. I must say, so far, I am not disappointed. I LOVE this product.

Boots - The best kind of shopping trip

There is nothing better than a trip to Boots..

My day can instantly be changed by popping to Boots and for this reason, I believe that it deserves its own blog. Seeing as my trips there, are what will lead to my reviews and blogs on here..

Walking into Boots is actually one of the most exciting things for me! Sad I know.. I experience the same exhilaration, visiting Debenhams and Selfridges make up counters. So much choice, shiny packaging and exciting new products. I imagine that's how Rebecca Bloomwood feels in the film, Confessions of a Shopaholic. I just love exploring the new products and displays and the smells of everything. Mascara and nail varnish are my downfall - I always seem to pick these up and I have tonnes of them.

Moisturising - Vaseline 'Spray and Go' Body Moisturiser

I have so many wonderful products and purchases that I want to share, it has proven hard for me to choose where to start..

Whilst not the most exciting product that I have purchased recently, I am absolutely LOVING the new Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser, which has been available in the UK now for about a month. It is certainly one of my favourite products of recent months and I believe that this is one product that is definitely worth reviewing.

Introductions

This is my very first post. Scary.

I don't know whether people will read this or be interested in what I have to say, but I have ideas and thoughts and I want to be able to share them. For this reason, I am creating this blog.

About Me..

I'm Louisa, I'm 25, with a completely normal every day job. I recently got engaged to my wonderful fiancĂ© after so many years together we are starting to lose track (almost 10 years!!!) and we are planning our wedding at the moment. We don't yet have a date up though - so no immediate pressure. :)
